GOV MATAWALLE WINS GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR ON SECURITY, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, Shattiman Sakkwato) has been honoured with the award of Governor of the year on Security and  Youth Empowerment by the Access News Magazine.

Access Magazine is a reputable National medium based in Lagos.

In a very colourful ceremony held at the Event Center of the Lagos Airport Hotel last Sunday, the Proprietor of the Magazine, Mr Sola Olugbemiro said the award came after a three months period of votes from Nigerians where the Governor ranked as the best Governor of the year in the selected endeavours.

He said the efforts of the Governor to curb the menace of banditry in the period under review was remarkable, an effort that brought great sanity in the lives of Zamfara citizens.

"Zamfara state is known to be one of the states greatly hit by insecurity and breach of the peace, but with the remarkable initiatives of the Governor in addressing the challenges such as the creation of Community Protection Guards to replace his earlier peace process  suspended by the Federal Government, the situation in the state has seen a tremendous change in its security situation".

The exercise, which is an annual one, has attracted cream of professionals, politicians, members of the media and the business community.
