Noella Foundation bags “Hero of the “Pandemic Diamond award for Compassion ” at the 15th Nigeria Media Nite-out Awards 2021. Their pandemic intervention saved lives in multitudes.

When an unprecedented peacetime lockdown was imposed by the virulent community spread of Covid-19 infections in the country early 2020, starvation and hunger stalked the land like an evil spectre. The situation was grim, desperate and families went to bed with empty stomachs. Especially in Lagos which was the epicentre of this macabre drama in Nigeria.

A few institutions wrote their names in gold. They rose-up to the occassion through forcefull, proactive and meaningfull intervention. Noella Foundation stands tall in this category. Nearly a million units of “Mixed Food Items & condiments packed in cartons and filled with bagged units of Rice, Garri, Semovita, Oil, Sugar, Salt, Seasoning, dried fish, tomato paste satchets , Stock Fish etc were distributed to these vulnerable families, across low income neighbourhoods of Lagos state like Ijora badia, Ajegunle, Ijegun etc. What a strategic rescue mission!!

Therefore, we heartily declare Noella Foundation to be a force for good. The driving force behind this great Foundation are a couple and their inspiration for it”s creation was to bequeath a kinder world to their children and also make the world a better place for all. No wonder they named it after their daughter.

Without doubts accolades, commendations and prayers by society are what is due Mr & Mrs Seyi and Layal Tinubu, Co-Founders of Noella Foundation. It is a worthy creation indeed and more giant strides and impact remain our only wish. We are proud and will cellebrate them always.

This public spirited power couple by using their passion for solutions have empowered communities and the youths on multiple previous occassions. This has fostered greater economic growth and inclusion. Which invariably has generated greater sense of belonging thus bringing harmony for the betterment of society..

Such deeds if emulated by other entities would have greater impact and possibly compell better governance since no government wolud want to be seen to be totally outdone by other sectors. This should be a prayer point for our people.

This 15th edition of the NMNA awards comes up September 19th, 2021 at the ultra modern auditorium of Lagos Airport Hotel Ikeja. Attendance is for award recipients and strictly by invitation only. Vibrant Covid -19 protocols would be observed and enforced.

Femi Fani Kayode’s visit to Zamfara state and the conferment of a chieftancy title on him, by the Shinkafi Emirate may have generated a lot of negative reaction and resistance from some sections of the north, but Saka has called on the north to see the opportunity, as a golden opportunity to preach peaceful coexistence among Nigerians along religious and ethnic divide. Saka who poured his mind to newsmen in Gusau the Zamfara state capital, said, “I cannot and will not hold brief for Femi Fani Kayode and I cannot begrudge anyone for demonstrating his or her rejection of such move, I think we should jump at this golden opportunity. “Zamfara is still perceived in such bad light beyond the northern region since the state got into spotlight when democratic rule was restored in 1999 with its introduction of Sharia Law.
