13th Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards Holds September 15th




All is set for the 13th edition of the prestigious Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards. The event, we gathered, will be held at Lagos Airport Hotel’s B Event Center on 15th September, 2019. The theme of the event is NIGERIA ECONOMIC & POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT: FINDING THE MISSING PIECE.......’.

Mr. Sola Olugbemiro, convener , Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards Media Nite-Out Awards is gradually gathering momentum and attracting rave attention from the socio-economic aspect of the country. The all-embracing media event which debuted thirteen years ago to recognise excellence and achievements of media practitioners in the print, electronic and social media sections is the brainchild of seasoned events consultant, Sola Olugbemiro’s Solkem Entertainment, Chairman Board Trustee his Excellency Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle Executive Governor of Zamfara State. Nigerian Media Nite-Out Awards event specifically celebrates media excellence in Nigeria and was conceived with a view to carrying media practitioners along in appreciation of their hitherto unrecognized contributions to the development of the Nigerian nation. According to Olugbemiro in a chat with Access weekly magazine, “now in its 13th year of successive outings, the 2019 edition of the awards event promises to be steps ahead of the previous ones both in packaging and delivery.” Nominations and nominees are already rolling in, states Olugbemiro, adding that dignitaries from all walks of life including captains of industry, politicians, top government functionaries, socialites and media groups are already warming up to grace the ever glamorous event.

Daily Independent Reporters Emerge Best Aviation, Entertainment Writers

Lagos – It was a night of glory for Daily Independent at the 12th Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award on Sunday where two of its reporters emerged as outstanding writers for 2018. The annual award ceremony, which was held at the Lagos Airport Hotel, witnessed the crème-de-la-crème of the society, especially in politics, business, and entertainment. Olusegun Koiki, Daily Independent’s aviation correspondent, was announced as winner of ‘Aviation Writer of the Year’ award after his nomination alongside four other journalists from Punch, Daily Trust, BusinessDay, and ThisDay Newspapers. Koiki, after receiving the award, commended the organisers for their objectivity and due diligence in picking him as the winner. He lauded the management of Daily Independent for offering him the platform to exhibit his skills and also dedicated the award to Mrs. Ruth Innocent who, he said, lost her life just on Saturday, few hours after giving birth to a baby girl.
